Send forms (dec/07) no receipt number???

My lawyer send my forms in December 2007 to Chicago, and so far I don't have even the Receipt Number.

Is normal all this time???

you should have heard something...what type of visa did you apply for......you dont have very much

information to go by .....but this is like 8 months???...and you have heard nothing?????

I29F sent 2008-01-07

NOA1 2008-01-30

NOA2 2008-05-29

NVC Rec'd 2008-06-04

NVC Left 2008-06-05

Consulate 2008-06-09

Packets 3&4 2008-06-25

INTERVIEW.....RESCHEDULED

THIS JUST BLOWS....waiting for police certificate....

he got the pcc.......an was unable to use it....this was a horrible process,and i would never do it again....

Hey Floridadias,

I would say NO, that is not normal at all, but have you asked your lawyer if HE has received the receipt number? in any case, NO , that is really too long, you should consider calling them or refiling. Was your check ever cashed? IF so, you should be ok. Just call them and have them send you a copy of the receipt.

btw, what did you file for? I assumed IR-1/CR-1... maybe you can update that in your profile!Good luck!

The lawyer fill the forms: I 485, I 130, G 325A...all the forms for Marriage Process

So this is for your Adjustment of Status after your marriage. Have you ever received a letter to attend for a biometrics appointment? It would have your case number on there. I'd be phoning your lawyer immediately! Was your cheque cashed? The case number should be on the back of your cashed cheque.
