Are interview dates slowing down?

I have been trying to find recent examples of people gettign interviews in London on CR1 so i can judge when they got their case complete so i can work out a rough time when i might be able to expect my interview. I know this is never going to be 100% trustworthy but it would be a nice estimation. to have.

I got back from Georgia yesterday and i really miss my wife and i just want to know what is happening with the visa process you know? I know i am lucky to have seen my wife so recently but it gets harder and harder to be apart.

I just wonder when it is coming. Has it slowed down as it seems to have?

Also should i email them again or is it too soon? I mean our case has been at London for 2 weeks i guess. It got forwarded on the 2nd of May so i guess by the time they got it 2 weeks. I got the standard 6 week email and now i am wondering why they can not give me a date straight away even if it is a date in 2 months time you know?

Also any idea how much time between the date they give you and the date they issue it? Then i can frantically ask for help with getting ready.

I had other questions i am sure but for now can anybody help with any of these?

thanks

Hey There,

My case only was completed today, but I have been wondering the same thing myself lately...

Wish I could help more, but I am not seeing many CR1's on the list...lots of K1's on the "London Embassy" thread... I also wonder how IMBRA will affect things as well when the K1 backlog begins to happen...

Have you tracked the package from the DHL tracking thing-y that Peter posted? Once you find it has gotten there, e-mail them and tell them that you are ready to proceed.

I know how much you miss her, as I miss my dear one as well.

Hope it goes fast as lightening for you !

All The Best,

Rose

thank you too mrsbruce5.

I know London have my case as i have already emailed them to check. They sent me a standard email i think saying i would hear within 6 weeks.

Oh well i guess it is time to attempt to get on with things while we wait and run up phone bills/net hours.

So are we the only three up for CR-1's at the moment? I can't find anyone else in any of the forums going through London. If this is the case, we should be moving at lightning speed!!! You two keep me posted if you hear anything. Yodrak, could you please pass on the email address for London, and when is the soonest I should start contacting them?

Yeah ... looks like it's just us 3 for now...In a perfect world, we'd be sailing right through...but I have come to expect no favors or mercy from this process...when it's all said & done, I will need someone to throw some cold water on me to make sure I am not asleep and dreaming-LOL !

I looked for that embassy e-mail, and to no avail. It's not in their website or anything !!!

I will keep hunting, and will pass it along if Yodrak doesn't beat me to it. ;)

Yodrak, I found a few other shipping dates the closest I came up to your date of May 8th, was May 12th and it was signed for May 15th. Hopefully that was yours, and with that in mind you should hear something this week or the beginning of the next. You have a cheerleading section now, MrsBruce and I shaking our pom poms for you, lol!

The whole DHL thing is hit and miss, sometimes you get a date the next time that particular shipment doesn't show up.

Here is the tracking number for that particular package 8191149923, maybe that will make it easier. I used expedite iv section as the reference.

Another way to find out when an interview date has been scheduled is by calling DOS 202-663-1225,then when answered press 1-1-0 straight away!!, but again give it a couple of weeks before calling!!

I keep reading about some premium rate number people call, I assume this is not the one. Is this an automated number like the NVC?

No this is Department of State, if you press the 1-1-0#s you get straight through to a real person, its not a premium rate number, the phone number for the London Embassy is though, & is also in Scotland!!, so they are not helpfu, so dont even call that num ber!! 1:30a minute
