Did anyone get approved without notification or e-mail? When I applied for my K1 visa, I had never received a single e-mail about approval. I got my K1 visa, entered the US and married my husband and still it says pending. It is insane. and now I applied for my AOS and EAD and those receipt numbers are online. Those cases are updated right after my biometric. However, since my previous experience in K1 visa, I might not be able to get any update or anything until I actually get EAD card. I wonder how many of you experienced that!

7/19 AOS package has been mailed

7/21 AOS package was arrived in Chicogo.

7/28 NOA1 for AOS, EAD, AP

8/15 Biometric done

Believe what you get physically in the mail. I still can't see my case online or get anything with my receipt numbers. My wife got her citizenship on June and she couldn't see anything online/phone from when she started and ended her process.

Oh my god! That's retarded. I know, I hate it when they just do things like that.

When I applied for my K1 visa, for entire 7 months, I heard nothing from them. No RFE. My husband did infopass, called them so many times and even contacted a local congressman.

I think it is insane. A lot of people are already tired of waiting and now they cannot even track their cases.

The lady I talked first was so nice. BUT, after she transferred me to IO, oh god. She is insanely rude!

She said we do not talk about the previous case!!!! She was almost yelling. our website system has trouble. And well, EAD takes 4 months now!!

Why can't they update every case equally???? So dumb. if they have problems on website, fit them asap for us!!!!!!! The one thing which makes me soo mad is that we all paid so much money!! Don't you think?

I already paid so much for my K1, and now I paid 1010 dollar! and the only thing I could get was messed up system and crazy employees who cannot even talk on the phone with respect!!

It frustrates especially those who are apart from loved ones and those who cannot even start new life in the US.

I know we all have to wait anyways, but at least, it makes us feel better to see what's going on.

I am just so mad about this entire messed up system.

Trust me I know how you feel. Indeed it is messed up: cause I called yesterday and the officer said to me; EAD is taking up to a 100 days. Thats so freaking stupid, if one has already passed the FBI checks whats the damn problem in handing them their EAD. One salary in today's economy is real tough. My wife is currently paying for everything and I hate it but I have no solution.

I can't really complain because from what you can see in my timeline I've done things pretty fast.

The other day I spoke to a guy from DHS and he said how silly the process was. Certain countries and backgrounds need obviously to be double checked. Not that I want to sound racist or anything, but it's proven certain places in the world are more prominent for terrorist backgrounds.

He told me how amazing it was for certain people to get their citizenship not even speaking english and how people with the language did not. So it is stupid; I'm into if you don't have a cultural idea and the language you shouldn't get the citizenship. Cause its not fair of us who have learned it and studyied American history.

I totally agree with you. I know it is soooooo dumb.

I know!!! It is sooo hard to live with one income :crying:

Trust me, I live in Orange County California. It is sooo expensive to live here. Everything is soo pricey and we cannot even move to the apartment because I cannot work. We could. But, if we do, our daily meal will be only beans and rice. Sooo hard!

I hate to be depending on my husband's income. I brought some of my saving, but you know, 1010dollars! great, and my vaccination was not completed and we had to pay additional 400dollars. Great

So insane. I cannot even get a driver license because my K1 is good for only 3 months and in CA, I have to show them that I can be here more than one year. It means that I need to get EAD no matter what.

I was so lucky to have SSN because I used to be a student here and worked on campus. Otherwise, I cannot even open my bank account or cannot do anything.

I can hear your pain. Everyone in the USCIS office says different things and I have no idea who to trust.

2 problems are going on right now:

1. Most of the USCIS workforce is handling N-400 Citizenship cases, due to the elections in Nov.

2. Employees and supervisors are not doing their jobs the way they should be.

I'm a true believer that some countries are more problematic (Inmigration wise) than others. So certain countries like the ones in WVP (not defending) should have an easier process than those that are more conflictive.

I see. That makes sense. Ahhh very stressful.

I cannot even apply for jobs because I cannot tell them when I can start working.

It sucks so much.

Ya, the election is coming up and now a lot of N-400 have to be completed. I have no idea what they are really thinking! They should hire more people!!!!

After what they charge per AOS case, yes they SHOULD!
