I have the e-tickets for two of the 3 times I visited my fiance, they were saved on my email account. I cant find the 2nd one from last winter and I cant find any of the ticket stubs from the airlines. Does it matter if it is a e ticket or does it have to be the airplan ticket stub? Does my passport cover the ticket i cant find? I wish I knew then that I should have saved them :(

I think the stamps in your passport are better evidence. I didn't save my ticket stubs or e-ticket receipts.

I've been down this road before - worry not! Everybody gets e-tickets these days, and when I accidentally deleted mine, I simply emailed the airline explaining that I needed proof of having been aboard that flight for visa purposes. Their customer service centre had replied within a week confirming the flight details and the fact that I was indeed a passenger.

I was missing a couple of my airplane stubs and the whole e-ticket for one visit, but I printed off my e-tickets for the other visit and made a copy of my passport stamps and those were accepted.

Do you have other primary evidence that you could use to back the dates of your trips up? Hotel receipts, etc.?

Do you have a frequent flyer account with the airline(s) that you used? You can also use that account to show the flight information. As mentioned, passport stamps are very authorative (if legible) and other receipts including credit card receipts/statements help!

They won't consider e-tickets or itineraries as proof, since it doesn't prove you traveled anywhere, it only proves you bought tickets. Your passport stamps should be fine. They do not care how you got there. When you write your letter mention "copy of passport attached" and mention you lost your boarding passes. No harm, no foul. When you make a copy of the passport be sure to copy ALL the pages, even blank ones.
