Procrastination of dental procedures for Medical Exam in SLEC ....

Hello, VJ members! It’s my first time to post topic today. My fiancé and I were on our 2nd month of our NOA1; my fiancé is now currently preparing some of the documents needed for NOA2 so when our approval comes it will be ready. My concern now is about my dental, a month ago I went to my dentist and I had consultations what do I have to fixed in my teeth. From that I had tooth extraction removing all the cavities and my dentist restored some of my damaged teeth so it’s okay now, what I am worrying is that even I did that tooth extraction and pasta for my teeth. I still need to do some corrections for my dentures. I have empty molars now and so it should be filled with partial removable dentures or false teeth; and one more thing is that all the rest of my teeth from upper and lower incisor are now spreading and so there is gap in between teeth. My dentist findings is to have it corrected with “fixed bridge” because she said I can’t do braces since I will be leaving out of the country so it is not advisable . When I calculate all the expenses fixed bridge is too expensive 1 unit is amount of 3,500 since I will be having all my up and down incisors so it will costs too much. I told my fiancé that I will have my lower incisors extracted too so I can just do the false teeth and I can have my incisors compressed through having a false teeth in my lower incisor since it is cheaper ! But he is not favor with it; he said he want natural permanent teeth so I will do the fixed bridge because it looks like permanent and natural teeth... My fiancé and I talked about this, he said that he will let me do the dental procedures of my incisors if I `m in the US already because his company dentist will do this and he will put me in his dental insurance. So mean I will be having my medical in the future with empty molars and have my front incisors (up and down with gaps) since it wont be fixed through fixed bridge and jacket crown for now because he is saving money for all my travel, medical ,and have to pay all the fees needed for visa.I can`t do this alone because it`s expensive procedures. I don’t have cavities it just that I need that dental works so my teeth will be corrected. Would it be okay if my dentures can’t be fixed during my medical? And have it fixed when I’m in the US already. Do you think it will be okay for SLEC when I procrastinate my dental problems ? Do you think it will cause delay or denial of my visa? It gives me worries right now. Help pls!!! All replies will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.!

Hi, during PE (Physical exam), the physician asked me if I had any missing teeth.

I said yes, I have one molar missing...oh jeez..she marked the PE sheet checklist: Dental: abnormal.

She didn't even look at my dents. I have braces.

P.s. It doesn't affect the result anyway. I passed the medical exams.

Worry not. :thumbs::thumbs:

Hi, just want to ask, I don't worry but just curious, for those who will be going to the US with braces, did you contact any dentist in the US already about this matter and do you already have an idea how much will be the professional fee to continue adjusting it in the US? Is that how it will work, they will just continue it?

(I think my ortho told me I need one more year...)

Thank you so much in advance.

You should demand or your orthodontist should give you a kit and teach you how to adjust your braces all by yourself. I pm you for more details. :star: :star: :star: :star:
