How soon after sending additional evidence did it take for you to hear an update on your case? I received an RFE last month stating that we did not send enough evidence to prove that we met the income requirement. I sent back my complete 2005 tax return, an employment letter and trascripts for the previous years along with a copy of what i initially submitted. Should I be looking out for a receipt letter??

We got the same exact RFE and we sent in the same evidence as you. I never received a letter, but my online case status was updated to say that they received my response.

Hi, my case is the same as all you guys, my on-line case status was updated in Feb, 06, they said that because our preliminary processing was complete, so the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in that message(for I-485). All you guys got the same message like mine? I got the RFE letter before I got the biometric mail(I-765 and I-485), I got the biometric appointment mail a few days after RFE mail, on the RFE letter said that I'm not eligible for interim employment authorization until 90 days after the missing initial evidence is received. And I went to do the biometric as they scheduled on the mail, which was on Feb 8, 06., can you believe it or not, since then I still haven't gotton the approval of work permit yet, it's been four month(more than 90 days after they received our missing evidence) I did info pass twice, I got my temporary work permit from my local office, but unfortunately it is good for two months only.(from the date that I went there), because they thought that I'm supposed to receive the actual card before two months from then. But I still haven't gotten the actual card yet, because of RFE, it made things delay, I and my husband feel very regret about that, if we had known that there was a missing evidence, we would not have filed it, we should have filed it in Jan 06 instead of Dec. 06. Actually, I consulted with one lawyer, and she said that the immigration will look at the gross income, not the income after expenses, and because the past three years, my husband was a self employed, so that's why we need to send the recent w2 to them, and then we did. And the 2nd time of my infopass was useless and I was so unlucky to see two rude officers, who couldn't help but insulted me instead, and they didn't even want to listen to me, just pushed my papers away, and called for next victim. I don't understand what're their problems, we all look the same. But I could feel they way they looked at me, it was very insulting. How's about all you guys, please share your experience. And what should I do? You got the same things like me. Thanks for sharing your experience, we're not alone....
