Two NOA1 for I-765 (EAD) application???

Hi everyone! Just a short recap I sent my I-485 and I-765 application and the NOA1 date on that two is July 21, 2008. I had my biometrics done for those two application as well last july 29, 2008. Now, around august 6 while reading on old forums I realized that I had a mistake on QUESTION 16 ON I-765 CATEGORY and I put (a)(6) instead of ( c)(9), lingering to myself what to do if I need to send a correction form with a correction letter and copies of my Notice of receipts or just let it be. Well, I can't sleep and wait knowing that I knew there's a mistake even in just one line (question 16) so I decided to send them a correction form with copies of my receipts. Now to my surprise, I received a new NOA for I-765 with NEW RECEIPT NUMBER dated August 22, 2008.

I immediately contact customer service and I was told to make an infopass to my local office which I did and the immigration officer at the local office told me that basically my first application is void and will be denied anyways because of the wrong category that i wrote in there and so its a good move that I sent a new one , well its just a month late than the first one Oh well, I guess I'll just go to another biometrics again if they send me one and my I-765 application is now august 22, 2008 but my first I-765 application dated july 21, 2008 was not denied "yet" hopefully not and is still pending.

SOrry for the long post Anyone had an idea? or same experience?? Any reply is much appreciated
