Best thing to do is Call DOS Visa services, they have info on all consulates.

For information related to inquiries about visa cases and the application process, call 202-663-1225

Profile lacks data, you filed for a K-1 NOT N/A, and country is Mexico, NOT N/A

I, too, am trying to contact the Consulate in Juarez and I'm getting the same message as you. I called my phone company, Vonage, to see if 900 numbers were being blocked. They told me I am not blocked from calling 900 numbers. They tried the number themselves, and verified that it is not valid.

I've also tried the Mexican number, (01 900) 849-4949, from a Mexican cell phone in Mexico, and it too is invalid. I got through on the automated message number, 011-52-656-227-3000, and they still report the two 900 numbers above as they only way to ask them questions regarding specific cases. There's no way to talk to a real person otherwise.

I wrote them a letter and received a cut and paste response that doesn't really address my question. I doubt anyone read and understood my letter. Will the consular officers extend the validity of the petition since she didn't get a Mexican passport in time? I'm about to drive my family from Tecate to Juarez to find out the answer to that question. I'm prepared to drive back on the Mexican side if the answer is, "no", but I'll be pissed that we have to go through the whole application process again.

You posted in Aug '08, I've tried in Dec '08 and today Jan '09. That's a long time with no customer service. Too bad they keep getting paid regardless.

Try 1 (800) 919-1754

It's $7.00 a call regardless if they were helpful or not.

You'll need your case number and a valid credit or debit card.

Yes, that is correct. They will give you the information you need at that number. The answers they give are vague, so try to push for details on whatever you are asking about.
