You have to be a green card holder for 3 years minus 90 days ( 2years and 275 days) before you can apply, that is if you are married to the same USC as when you got your green card. Otherwise add another 2 years to that.

Depends, you need to be resident in the USA for 18 months of the past 3 years and continuously married to a US citizen for the 3 years, and the citizen needs to be a citizen for the entire time.

When counting time out of country, you cannot be out of country more than 6 months in a 1 year period, (So for example if you were out of country 4 months, then were resident 1 month and then out of country another 4 months, this would count as 8 months in a 1 year period and would disqualify you)

You may want to study the citizenship guide:

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

During 2006--- 37 days

2007---123 days

2008---117 days

2009--- 71 days

----------------

348 days (total)

As you can see my breakdown, each year did'nt reach 6 months.

I will be filing 2009.By the way,I am still married to the same us cit.

Although I am already eligible to file 90 days before my anniversary,I

will be out of the country,so will be filing when I come back.

My question now is this:While waiting for the interview,I am sure it will take

another year of waiting,so probably I will have another trip of 46 days and this

still be added on, now with a total of 394 days, this

means more than a year.

Am I still safe on my interview date?

Thanks for helping me on this.I just want to be sure that my trips will not

ruin my application.

Thanks again for any inputs, this will give me peace of mind.
