Can anyone who has went for their medical share their experience? I need to book mine soon, and am debating on going to Winnipeg or Calgary, as they are closest to me. What was the cost? How long did it take to get an appointment? Were the staff friendly/courteous? Was the doctor proffessional? Any recomendations are helpful! Thanks in advance.

Okay - I went ahead and booked the medical. Calgary and Winnipeg were the closest cities, and aparently Winnipeg is one of the lower priced medicals ($230).

They told me it would take 2 hours. They got me in right on time to my surprise. The staff were friendly and efficient and Dr. Drexler was a very nice man. We got through the health history and examination fairly quickly. He didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. Very professional.

The X-RAY and blood tests were also very quick. For the entire medical, I was in and out within an hour.

A lot better experience than I anticipated. Also there was no need to freak out about the vaccination list because I had almost everything I needed except a tetanus shot (which the Dr. said I should get every 10 years).

So that is done and another thing crossed off the list. I'm just waiting on my fiance's Affidavit of Support and I'm ready to send the checklist for the interview date!!!

Hi there..

Is anybody knows if thares panel doctor for k1 US fiancee visa here in Calgary?

Thanks

I'd wonder if the consulate here would know...you may want to give them a shout...I know I'll be looking into this one myself at some point!

http://calgary.usconsulate.gov/about-us/contact-us.html

They're right downtown off the C-Train line (thank goodness, makes that easier!) if you'd rather speak to a person instead of over the phone.

Good luck!

There are only 4 physicians in Canada designated tomperform immigration medicals.

1). Gulzar Cheema - Surrey BC - 604-597-6887

2). Howard Seiden & Associates - Toronto ON - 426-362-5603

3). Ian Zatzman - Vaughan ON - 416-960-1014

4). Medisys - Montreal QC - 514-499-2777 ext. 3500

That's the only docs in the whole of Canada that can do your medical.

Good luck!
