Just wanna ask the board who has experienced having their passports stamped for the I-551 extension. I had finished with biometrics but wasnt able to bring my passport that day and I want to go back and have it stamped..Do I need to do an infopass?

Also my daughter encountered a problem getting her learners permit at the DMV with the expired GC and NOA, they want her to wait for the new GC which looking at VSC will take a long while.

If anybody has done the stamp, how did you go about it?

The office where you went for finger prints will not give you I-551 stamp. You have to make an apointment through Infopass to your local office enable to stamp your and your daughter's passport. I don't know where do you live. If you are in Virginia or DC area, the local office will not provide the stamp. They discourage people who ask I-551 stamp. Tell them the DMV is not renewing her ID card with the NOA. Let us see what they will do in that case.

Thanks for the reply, I'm in houston and just made an infopass appointment for tomorrow, crossing my fingers here..anyway, tried 3 different dmv office here, the first one said NOA was okey but the driving school forgot to include her written test so i was asked to come back, when I did..different personnel attended to me and said NO, just wait for the new GC, tried other offices no luck, so I hope the stamp will work IF USCIS will do it.
