Hi I am not sure how many have read our situation... however.. Jan is awaiting the proper documents for his divorce.. in order for us to file our K-1.

In the mean time he is still moving forward with his partnership possibilities with a gentleman here. This man has requested and filed to sponser Jan to arrive here in USA for discussion of a business venture.

Jan has filed for a B-1B-2 visa requesting it for a 6 month period so they can work out the details. It is for a International Internet Website/store. Jan will be locating the products in India for this company as a Independant contractor/partner in the business.

WHat I am extremely confused.. and please someone from India help me understand please..

Jan has had his interview.. back in April, they told him he needed to show the proof that he had his visa for Belgium... that was one of the locations he was to go first. After his trip to Belgium they told him he just needed to show the proof. He did., then more waiting.. then we figured if this gentleman here in the states filed a sponser form it might help. So one was completed along with a updated letter of request for his attendance. He is using a "Agent" to do the filing.. and I was thinking that this was taking too long for answers.. so yesterday Jan decided to go down to Bombay to take the papers himself. Half way there. the riots started bus was turned around. returning back to Bhavnagar, so I asked him to just fly... He got a flight first thing in the am.. went there. got to the embassy.. took the papers.. they accepted them. .

said that there is a big back log.. humphhh... told him he will receive a letter in the next 30 days for a appointment for his medical..?? I have never heard of a medical being requested for this kind of visa... ..

fine if it is.. but .. how long does this take?

Anyone here have ever gone tru this kind of process in Mumbai?

I was under the assumption that you go .. get your interview.. and they either stamp it or not..

I just wish to understand the process a bit more.. .. please....

Thanks Agent Smith.. wasnt sure if anyone would respond...

I double checked again with Jan.. indeed it is a medical.. he was told he would receive his appointment withing 30 days and should expect his visa within 45.

Just boggles my mind on how i read in some places that people go in for interviews and are granted it asap.. and now seeing how long it is taking for Jans simple tourist visa...
