RFE? How long?

hello VJ people.

i just wanna know how long does an RFE take from CSC? according to the USCIS page, they mailed it august 12. its almost september.

how much longer?

need answers. help!

You were issued an RFE but the USC has yet to receive the paper stating what they are asking for?

Seems more than 2 weeks is a little long but, like everything else with the USCIS, who knows.

The USC can call the USCIS and use the RFE option to inquire about it.

hi! i dont have any idea gurl,.. but whats wrong why you got RFE? when did you file your application? i just had mine last monday..im keeping my fingers crossed that i wont be able to get RFE..god bless us gurl on our journey..

they said they mailed it aug 12. but my fiance hasnt received anything. and its september already.

we dont know what they need. he hasnt read the RFE.

is there an RFE hotline? he said everytime he calls, he gets the automated reply and wonders why some people can get to talk to an officer.

and his laptop has been out for two weeks.

i didnt know an RFE could take almost a month... or even longer...

There used to be an optioin for those with RFE but I dont think that's there anymore. Im not sure the people you get to talk to will be able to tell you much but they should be able to at least put you in the right direction to resolve this.

It took more than a month for my fiance to get the first letter with a case #. On the web, it said they mailed a notice on July30, but he didnt get it until September.

I guess they didnt really mailed it when they said they did. so it could be just taking long

my fiance called USCIS again (and again, and again) and finally got to speak to an officer. and he said... (drumroll please...) ...

"we already mailed your RFE. please wait for it."

and they didnt say anything about the RFE reasons, what we missed, what we lack, discrepancies, etc - nothing. just wait. lol. we are getting agitated but at the same we still manange to laugh about it. whew! laughter is indeed the best medicine.

but at least "its on its way" as they said... and good things come to those who wait.

i dont know if im following the thread - my own topic at that - right... but its been more than 30 days and no RFE.

i am really worried...

my fiance is agitated...

he keeps calling USCIS and luckily enough gets to talk to an officer but yet still gets the same message "please wait for it in the mail"

his bday is next month. and after that thanksgiving... then its christmas. how long just for this RFE? how long do we all have to wait?

God help us all...
