I am so sorry. I hope they are wrong!!! And you will hear this week!!! I know all about their heartlessness! And knowing Casa won't respond doesn't help either. Just wondering, can your senator or congressman get more info for you?

I called my Senator rep. in the midst of tears and he told me he would look into it. All most of them do is send an email and I don't think there is much they can do either. :(

Carrie,

I don't have an answer but I am so sorry. I think this goes beyond the usual BS from this consulate and is downright cruel.

Who told you that Simo is in AP again? Is it possible they have made a mistake?

I know someone who was continually told they were in AP after their visa was approved (but not issued). The consulate didn't have their act together and I think they were just emailing a wrong canned reply.

I hope this is resolved soon.

Rebecca

It was DOS that told me he is pending again. I called twice so it obviously is not a mistake. They did tell me this has nothing to do with IMBRA. What I don't understand is why they would tell him to bring his passport and his visa was ready to be issued, they just had others to print first and then turn around and send us back to AP. Well there goes all our plans....

that happend to us too. jan 13th they told us case compleate for the K-3 visa. they did not wanna issue it.

but, later told us to wait wait wait. April 6th rolled around they make us wait on AP again.

try to find something that will consume your time and make your days go by super fast.

I know its hard to do that. :( make a bunch of ticker tags if you want.

take a few classes in someting. anything so you dont cry alot. I wrote a diary for my husband. I gave it to him. since I write bad he is proble is in search of a chicken to translate my chicken scratch writing...lol

this all has to blance. here is someting I found. that those on IMBRA the longest wait has been 100 days.

maybe it will only take 1 month or less.

Carrie,

Same thing is happening to us. I was told by DOS the last of April that the case was completed April 5th and the embassy in Cairo verified this and told us he would have his visa "soon." Two weeks later I emailed the embassy again and then they tell me the case was back in Washington for more AR/AP! It is total #######! In the past 2 months, I have 4 emails from the embassy saying his case in complete and 5 saying the case needs more checks. What a way to play on our emotions. Hang in there and hope you hear good news soon.

Oh Carrie, I'm so sorry :( I don't know what this means. I hope it's just a mistake and he will get the visa very soon.

Hang in there. It will end eventually, even though it doesn't feel like it. Maybe your senator will at least get you a little more info.

Carrie, so sorry about this. They did the same thing to my sis, one email would say one thing and DOS another. It took a month for it to get straightened out. The good news is once the Senator makes an "inquiry" that seems to get them moving and shaking. Start your wedding plans tomorrow, may some appointments for June. There's still a chance they'll call him this week. If you need to vent, talk, cry please don't hesistate to gimme a ring. We're all here for you. Lots of hugs.
