Hi guys! I'm making this thread for those IR-1 applicant who has been approved by the NVC july 2008. Our case has been approved July 3, 2008, until now no interview date yet. Please join on this thread so we can compare our Timelines & whoever could have an interview date first could share us their experiences...Please type ur name below... :)

Your case was completed JUly 3? It's been 8 weeks now.. Did you call NVC why it takes so long for interview date? My hubby's case was completed on Au4 , 2008.. IR1 also... One case here I read, her case was completed on AUG 1 and she made it for Sept interview but I think hers is CR1.. Is there a difference bet CR1 and IR1 in terms of waiting time for interview??? I just called yesterday to NVC and the operator told me to call again on Sept 17..there is no more slots for Sept.. they scheduled interview in Manila every 2nd week of the month for the next month schedule... gudluck for both of us! hope we'll make it for OCT!

we were approved on 7/22, and we have interview date on 9/29 @ 10:00am. We are IR-1

9.29.08-Interview - AP (2 weeks)

10.15.08 - AP over :) Embassy called hubby to go get his Visa - HAPPIEST DAY!!!

10.20.08 - Visa Issued

11.25.08 - POE (JFK then SFO)

11.26.08 - Visa Journey is Over!! TOOK 737 DAYS....Habibi is Home!! :) :)

12.10.08 - Applied for SS Card

12.15.08 - Welcome Letter Received

12.17.08 - SS Card Received

tanx mhal2008! my hubby called the NVC every other day but the last tym he called i think was Aug.22, the NVC told him that same thing too, to call again on the 2nd week of sept.for Oct.set of interviewees bcoz the sept.has no vacant slot anymore...hopefully magka sked na kmi oct.before our son's bday on oct.24, he'll be turning 7 then...& u too, hope u can get ur date too...CR1 is a bit faster but, if i'm not mistaken they're only given 2 years for green card & re apply again, unlike IR-1 we are given 10yrs of GC & can file for citizenship...so g00dluck to us! :star:

Hi Nita! Here in the Philippines, the time for visa processing is quite long compare to other countries, bcoz Philippines has a large number of visa applicants...that's why it took us centuries to acquire visa....LOL!

My husband is always calling NVC, atleast every other day, he just stopped calling since last week when the NVC told him that the sept.batch for interview is full already, & also told him to call on the 2nd week of sept.for the batch of october..i just hope they will schedule us on october...Goodluck! :)
