i paid my visa application fee at the nearest BPI main branch today (which is an hour-and-a-half in my place). when i paid the teller i gave him my DS-157 which i filled-out online but he didn't accept it. instead, he validated my payment with another blank DS-157 form and a receipt. i told him "Sir, I already have my DS-157 form could you validate it instead of the blank form that you gave me?". Then he told me "It's ok langga, kamuta na lang na", meaning he said it's ok just to handwritten it. i tried arguing with him that the embassy might not accept it since most of the forms are electronically prepared but he insisted that it will be ok.

would that be really ok if i will just fill-out my information, on that blank DS-157, handwritten? it would really suck if i messed out on this though, the bank is so far. sigh* :bonk:

i will be interviewed on the 19th of sept. it worries me that just because of it, the process will be ruined.

help lol. :crying:

Hi!

Yes, you can have it hand written. The bank don't validate our filled up forms instead they gave us a blank form in which you have it hand written. Don't worry coz USEM accepts handwritten forms.

In my case, the bank gave me a validated blank DS156. Then I filled it up and presented it to the USEM and I did not have any problems. There were also applicants during my interview who filled up there forms handwritten in the USEM.

I hope I answered your questions.

Good Luck for the interview.

Irene
