My fiancee got her first packet from the Embassy that requires just the basic biographical form to be filled out and then sent back. She will then apparently get her interview date notice. Is that when they give you detailed instructions on what to bring? (she already has notice about the police report, medical exam, affidavit of support - but so far it said nothing else).

I am not sure how much I can help you because every embassy is different but she should receive a checklist with everything on it. My fiance received his with his packet three but Canada could be different. I will make you a list of what my fiance is bringing tomorrow maybe it can help somewhat:

original birth certificate

police certificate

passport

passport photos

payment slip

affadavit of support

stamps

evidence of our relationship

copies of his medical exam forms/vaccinations

NOA2 copy

(in some cases you need divorce decrees, death certificates, court certificates)

I think thats all....

Good Luck! :D

In addition to what Diana helped you with, you might want to go to the US Embassy in Canada web site.

My fiancee is Russian and the Moscow Embassy has web pages that tell what is required.

HOWEVER!! As most will advise you, the info they send out is the current deal of what they want you to do.

I hope it goes well for ya'll!

astonvillan69,

It sounds as though your fiancee has received the instructions as to what she has to do to prepare for her interview. There may be some additional instruction that comes with the notice of interview date, but I suspect that you may be looking for more detail than there is going to be.
