Hi everyone, my Jamaican husband and I filed an I-130 petition for his son to come to the US to live with us, and we just received an RFE requesting proof that my husband and his son's mother are divorced, in order to prove a step-relationship between the child and myself (the US citizen). They actually never married, and so we're wondering if anyone has an idea about how to answer that question in a way that will be satisfactory to USCIS. Has anyone else had this issue? Or have any suggestions on what info we can provide to them to show that they were never married? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
