welcome to the world of waiting....the USCIS website doesnt tell u much but i would encourage u to check VJ regularly and start collecting the paperwork for ur next steps in advance so when the time comes u have everything ready to go and dont get delayed by a single day...thats what my wife r trying to do...we r completing our 3 months of sending the application in two days so it feels better now that approval can come along any day and we r closer to being together by every passing day...

HAHAHA THANK YOU FOR THE ADVICE.. I ALREADY HAVE THE DS 3230 AND DS230 SIGN BY MY WIFE (WITH ALMOST ALL THE REQUIRED PAPER WORK NEED, I NEED THE POLICE CLEAREANCE).. I ALREADY HAVE I-864EZ DONE. I JUST CAN'T WAIT LOL.... ITS FUNNY HOW ADDICTING THIS PROCESS CAN BE,, I CHECK THIS WEBSITE EVERY HOUR OR SO AND I AM LIKE A RACECAR DRIVER WAITING FOR THE GREEN LIGHT... I THINK I GOT A TIC ON MY EYE FROM THE CONSTANT HOPEFULNESS IF THATS A WORD. LOL ;)

well the people that got transfer today had NO1 in late Feb, so if my calculations are correct and if the deserving people ahead of me keep getting transfered( and hopefully approved quickly) i'm looking at roughtly 5 to 6 months. that would be cool with mee seeing as people on here have waited more than a year in some instances.. thank you everone for sharing your situations and resulotions as of this point and time.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!
