hmm, the pwnage would have worked better if someone that was quoted would have actually posted "yay for Biden he cried", which I haven't seen here yet

Marilyn, your post doesn't even make sense. Of course none of those quoted would say yay he cried. They are mostly O supporters.

I IMPLIED (read between the lines here) that those who said Hillary was weak when she cried - now need to eat crow as there manly-man Veep is all those things quoted & MORE. See, under their theory - when a women candidate cries, she is weak. But when a man candidate cries, well..

 apparently the irony of it all is missed when the chickens come home to roost.

Based on a lot of what I reading online a lot of "progressives" have never liked Biden much either

Then that implies that the progressives in favor of Obama probably won't care much anyway since they are voting for Obama first and foremost.

But on a more political level... the progressives I've read from (in books and online) don't have any horrifying issues with Biden. As far back as the 80s.

I read several disapproving pieces over the weekend (like in the UK Guardian) and in other talkboards I visit.

I have talked to a lot of people who consider themselves progressive who have been concerned about a number of things - his refusal to take a stand on abortion ("above my pay grade")k, his courting of religious groups and the flip-flop on campaign finance to name a couple issues.

IMO that just makes him akin to 99.9% of politicians out there. Those issues (except abortion) particularly.

So what you're saying is he IS just another "politician". Interesting. What I have said all along.

Perhaps so ;)

He's been in the Senate for how long again? Nevertheless, it is my opinion after all.

Who should he have picked? That's what I'd like to know. Furthermore... I am sure there was a vetting process... somewhere...

I was actually talking about Obama not Biden in that first paragraph

All I am saying is the selection of Biden completely undermines the "change" message.

Maybe it does... and maybe it doesn't. We'll see 1) come November and 2) if he wins- what will change and how much stonewalling the opposition attempts.

my point is that maybe you should have posted the article and just waited to see what people said before claiming pwnage...

from what I read and understood from the quotes is that they think crying is a sign of weakness, I don't think it matters to them if it is a man or woman...

I didn't claim anything.

Mavi asked who 'you' was, so I posted some (ironic) quotes. And as far as what you read, I'd love to see it how you see it, but I don't.

Context....?

And Dev did answer my question to my satisfaction... at which point it would be cool to see what people (those quoted) have to say- if anything- about the topic... which in all honestly, is as lame as the whole business with expecting one man to be the entire US Government while pretty much every US Civics textbook disagrees.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Well its all about context... and apparently the same context is to be cited for Hillary's particular event that produced the choking incident with Biden's all-important choke up.

Is anyone here trained in the Heinlich?
