According to the website it stated that we got transferred to CSA on July 30th. After that we had several touches and we got the following message:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done, counting from when USCIS received it. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. To receive e-mail updates, follow the link below to register.

My question is, do people receive a letter stating that they got transferred to California? If i did not get one should i be concerned? And last but not least, does this message above mean that it got transferred back to our local office or that simply that it is now pending in California?

don't worry about it unless you have moved... they had to have your file at CSC to scan the barcode or no entry would occur on the web...

Ok... here is the thing.... i did move but i have not changed my address. My ex-roommates still reside at my old address and i work right around the corner from there so i am there every day checking the mail. I have not received anything and neither have my roommates. Do they know any other way if you have moved? I have not changed my address at the post office nor at my job. I still receive all my mail at my old address and i plan to leave it like that until our case is approved so we don't delay anything.

Hey, The email above mean that your case is now pending in California, I got that same CRIS email almost 30 days later that i was transferred to California and then i was Approved one month later, so don't worried, your case is in California. I also got a letter from USCIS in the mailbox stating that the case had been transferred.

Hope this help.

I guess my only other concern is why have i not received a letter indicating that our case got transferred. Do some people not get this letter in the mail?

It was nearly 3 years ago now but we never got a letter saying we were transferred either - just the email.
