You can bring it to your interview when it is scheduled.

Probably they will not look at your file until interview date comes any way.

I didnt send a Selective Service Card or letter as I dont think my husband was required to register because he was over 26 when he entered the United States. At least i am hoping that is factual, that he didnt have to register because he was over 26. My husband was 28 when he came to the US.

I did send a request for the Status letter thinking it would confirm that he wasnt required to register but the letter came back saying he was required. I contacted USCIS and was told that as long as he wasnt 18-26 when he entered the US that we didnt need to send that letter. How old was your husband when he entered the US?

All males at the ages of 18 though 26 have to register for selective service and can be one on-line, don't have the site before me. I have also forgotten to send in evidence, but just mailed it in later but before the interview letter with a cover letter explaining I was sorry I missed that, it was accepted and added to our file, have to bring in all the originals anyway.

Your husband does not have to register at 26 years old or older, what selective service is, is a draft where if called, you have to join a branch of the armed services if physically and mentally fit. Thing is, we do not have a draft, the present selective service is just in case we do in the event of some national emergency.

Are you talking about the cover letter? No mention of a cover letter, so didn't do that, but your photocopies should be enough, just make sure you bring in all of your originals to the interview, and the luck comes in by getting a good interviewer, that is something to pray for.

no im talking about the N-400, when i had to show 'proof" of me registering for the selecive service, i DIDN'T send in the actual letter they gave me like 2 years ago, but i DID include photocopies of both sides of the selective service card, i think when they see it, it should match up because i also sent in a copy of my social security card, and the selective service card also has the social security number on it.

Aussielad, you will be fine. Copy of front and back of the registration card is enough. I'm certain that you will not get the request for evidence regarding registration. Nowhere did I see that the actual letter is required, it also wouldn't make much sense right? GL
