Interview over, Request for mor evidence, Now I need to go for an interview

Oh man, I'm so depressed. I just called to see how my fiance's interview went, and they told her that we need more evidence because we're related. They said they believe our relationship is fraud.

We have a lot of evidence, from cards, photos, engagement ring reciept, and boarding passes, and more.

I don't get how in the hell they could approve my petition in less than 2 months, and not request any more evidence, and then they come out with this #######.

My fiance says I need to get a interview date for myself.

Anyone know how to do this?

It seems more and more common for people going through Colombia to have the pertitioner come in for a second interview. I would suggest you call the consulate and get specifics on what is going on and what additional evidence they need.

I am sure the Colombia members on here will be able to help more.

Welcome to hell, courtesy of our friendly neighborhood South American consulate. I didn't know that Bogota was doing this, too.

Your fiancee should have been handed a letter, perhaps with "221g" on it. It's imperative that you get a copy of this from her, by fax or e-mailed scan. Follow the instructions. If Bogota is anything like a certain neighboring country's consulate (and I know zero about Bogota except for having heard that the embassy normally knows how to conduct proper visa interviews), you'll have to call a special number from the U.S., possibly paying a fee by credit card for a PIN that allows you a few minutes of talk-time with an appointment-scheduler. Like ZeeNusah says, consult the Colombian members in the Latin American "Regional" thread for best advice.

Let us hope that the Bogota embassy is more ingenuous about the entire process to come than a certain neighboring country's consulate.
