ohh dear, Country music, Nascar, Ice fishing and the over use of peanut butter in almost anything are probably those parts of the American culture I will have most problems adapting too!

Yes, and ALL Southerners wear overalls, DON'T wear shoes, and walk around with a sprig of hay sticking out of our mouths, too. :whistle::blink:

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I like country music... it's the closest that South Florida radio comes to 'folk' music (I know... it's American folk music!) Sometimes I watch CMT just for the video clips... but I found a good country station at 99.9FM in south Florida.

Timeline

I enjoy the south myself, it has a certain charm to it. I don't find it too different from Nova Scotia... however it can get a little too conservative for my taste, or maybe it's just that the liberal people are too quiet and would rather not cause a fuss :)

Hey, try the MidWest for awhile and you won't mind at all that folks down south tend to be a bit on the conservative side. At least they're friendly and open. :yes:
