Hi to everyone first of all I'd like to compliment this site. Very helpful! I just have a question. My fiance and I are planning to work on K1. I am just wondering what are the possible questions on the interview. Also how far do they go when it comes to background checking? Am I required to have a job? Because I am planning to quit my job when we start so I can work on papers. My job won't allow me to just take off, they are very strict. If I have been to other country before, will they also ask about it? What do they ask about yourself mostly? Sorry I just read few topics here and it's kinda making me think :) I find the interview is going to be stressful so I'd like to know more what to expect. All response will be appreciated. Thank you!

you're going to want to start by reading all the information in the tabs above. The guides, flowcharts and faq's are very helpful. You will also find a list of often asked interview questions. There is far too much information to start answering your questions. Everything you need to know is in the tabs above.

If you are the USC you will need to show that you can support your fiance and that he/she will not become a public charge to the US government upon arrival. You will need to prove this again at adjustment period after she is here and you are married. Might want to think that quitting the job thing. ;)

You need to fill in your timeline so that others here can answer your questions better. The interview experience of this journey has everything to do with the Consulate you are going through.
