We never received a card confirming they got our material either. My husband had his interview in London on May 16, 2008 and sent our I-601 package in on May 17th. I've read on the London site that they send out cards confirming receipt of waiver packets, but he never got one. Every week we checked the website, our number finally showed up on the list on June 9th. We were told at the interview "it can take up to 15 weeks to review". I've been counting from the June 9th date, our 15th week will be the 22nd of this month. However, we have not moved from pending to review yet.

I would like to know from others who have been through this process in London, how long it took them.

Good luck to you and check the website to track your progress.

Thanks for your reply. We were told recently by phone from the US Embassy in London that waivers take upto 15 weeks to be processed depending upon the gravity of the offence. From what i can gather, the more serious offence the longer it takes to be adjudicated. It would be good to know if anyone has been processed in 6 weeks, the least amount of time USCIS( state) it takes to process some waivers. Regards, Mike

Ye,I applied for the waiver from Vaccines as per the legal provision under the Immigration and Naturalisation act. 12/15 week wait.1 week in so far.

Incidentally I was interviewed by an absolutely horrid indiviudual at the embassy.Total Nazi who contradicted protocol for visa applications. Time and again they tell us not to make travel arrangements or quit jobs yet on the day of the interview I was hauled over the verbal coals for NOT making travel plans or quitting my job!

How do you deal such schizphenic people.? I will actually be making a formal comlaint once this whole process is over. The Consulate web site insists that applicants will be treated with dignity and respect.I got neither. I hate dealing with women in these beuracratic situations. The Power turns them in raving harridans. Had dealings with a similar witch in the US regarding problems with our marraige license. We ended up having to get a senator involved to sort out the problem.Horrible horrible people in US beaurocracy.

HI,

Can I ask why you filed the I-601????

My husband was deported when trying to enter the states one year ago from the US under sections"212(a)(7)(i)(I) immigrant w/out proper docs...and "212(a)(6)©(i) fraud mis-representation... dont ask me why but he got ten years....

Our I-130 was approved and is now at the NVC... can I file the I601 andI-212???

Help! I have called everyone at every agency and no luck! NO answer

SO can he get in to the US????...Legal aide said yes... but who knows, really!

Thanks!

28 July 08 we received word that they recevied it on 4 July. Were told 14-16 week wait. We made a pdf of the original list on http://london.usembassy.gov/dhs/forms/i601_status-web.pdf.

Assuming that they are working on the first in first out method there are 15 people that were on the original list that are still in the pending column. For a while they were completing 3 applications a week but lately it seems as if they have been averaging about 1 a week. Which puts us at about 15 more weeks, after already waiting almost 20 weeks. I wrote them a letter trying to find out what is going on but have not heard anything.

Our number is LND2007 817 013. So if we move into the under review column you could assume they are working on the July waivers.

Some day we will be together.

We were finally moved up to "Review" in our 22nd week. I'm hoping that the review process will only take 4-6 weeks so that maybe my husband can be home for either Christmas or New Years. Good luck to all.

Here's our approximate history:

1/21/08 - Filed K-1 application to Vermont

5/19/08 - Interview at London embassy

- Visa denied for possession of marijuana 12 years ago

7/11/08 - I-601 application filed

7/14/08 - Application appears on status webpage as "Pending"

11/21/08 - Application moves "Under Review"

11/24/08 - Reviewer notifies solicitor that Adam is inadmissible on ANOTHER set of grounds, misrepresentation, and asks solicitor to submit another defense.

Our solicitor has been told by the reviewer that our application will be complete BY Wednesday, Dec. 17. Based on what I've been seeing (I track all of the applications obsessively), I actually expect an answer sometime this week. These days, most application move from "Under Review" to "Completed" within a couple of weeks. As everyone can probably imagine, we're on pins and needles!

If we do hear this week, that will have been 22 weeks from the time that we submitted our I-601.

As I said, I've been carefully tracking the timelines for all applications since mid-July. I'm happy to email a copy of the spreadsheet to anyone who would like it. Just contact me at visaspouse@googlemail.com

I'll report back within the next few days!

We were denied for possession of marijuana 17 years ago, then denied for misrepresentation because she came over here 5 times and filled out the I-94W and there is a very ambigious question that she filled out incorrectly. She sent in the new I-601 to waive the new charges and was approved in about a week. A week after the I-601 was approved the Visa was approved. She sent her passport in and is getting it stamped. Now we are just setting the date for her to move over here.

Hi there,

My fiance and I are also in this mess of waiting. We have been in the '601 show' since July, but just got all of our evidence to London December 10, when we got the electronic postcard. We are happy that this might really be over soon and we might be together, finally--it has been over 1 and 1/2 years since we saw each other and filed.

Any help, even good thoughts, would be appreciated. Barry is in Sweden, the frozen wasteland, while I am here in relatively sunny Northern CA.

I am tracking, too, but I cannot figure it out. We were third from the bottom of 'Pending", now we are second from the bottom. Hmmm???

Sue

Hi Everybody

I am Sue, and my fiance is Barry. I am beginning to track all of the 601-w in London, and if you would not mind sharing your number with me and the date it popped up as pending, I would be happy to tell you how the wait times are going. I have made a spread sheet, and have added one other number to it, so I can see where we all are. I just got ours on the pending list last week, (Dec 10) so we have a ways to go.

Thanks!

Sue and Barry

he: Sweden

me: California

1.5 years waiting!!!1 :help::thumbs:
