Hi,

Some time during the first week of Agust, I received a latter from CVC notifying that my petition was approved on July 30th is to be forwarded for processing to the National center. However, since then nothing seems to have changed. I haven't heard from NVC and my case's status at CVC is still 'Pending' like it had been for 4 months before the approval letter. Is this normal?

Thanks

D.

Yes, it's normal for CSC not to have updates. Sad..but true.

For some reason some people from CSC also seem to be taking longer to get entered into the system at NVC. You should receive a letter from them stating they have received your approved petition and that they will be forwarding it to the Consulate. Then you get another letter stating they have forwarded it.

You can call NVC... 603-334-0700, 1, 5 to talk to someone (k1's are not entered into the automated database) and they can tell you if your case has made it there yet. Don't be too discourages if they dont show you there yet...seems to be happening.

This is quite normal. The NVC normally takes about 2 to 4 weeks to process new approved case and to forward it to the consulate in the beneficiary's country. Now the time between the consulate sending a notice to your fiancee will all depend on the processing times of that consulate. Once the NVC fowards the case to the consulate there is a way to track your package approximately using a trick which you will find in this forum. The NVC uses only DHL to send all documents.
