i am ready to send the Ds230 form to the NVC but i am confused about the police certificate..do i need to send police certificate even i never out of the country yet? and also do i need to write a cover letter for my Ds230 since i am the beneficiary? can anyone give me a format for the cover letter for my Ds230..thank you

Yes, you need to send a police certificate.

You don't have to write a cover letter if you don't want to, it's really just a nice thing to do as it gives you a copy/list of things you have sent and gives an easy reference for NVC. It doesn't have to be anything more than a list of items included, ie:

Please find enclosed the following documents in addition to my form DS-230:

- Police certificate from <country>

- Marriage Certificate

- Divorce Certificate

etc etc.

thank you trailmix for the quick reply..so this is all the form i need to my ds 230 form my original birth certificate, marriage certificate, police certificate, NBI clearance, 2 2x2 passport photo and photocopy of my passport? am i good for all of this or there is still lacking? let me know please

If you have never been out of the country then NBI clearance will do.. You do not need to get police clearance in every places or provinces you lived here in the Philippines..

I attached the LOTO's guide (with cover letter samples).. It will help you in NVC stage..

Nah.. NBI will do.. Do not waste your money in getting police clearance in the phils. Just get NBI clearance and submit it..
