confused with 2 letters recv'd from NVC

first off, i've got to mention that we are taking the long cut. we paid all our bills using money order. my husby wanted to do it "slowly but surely". (haaaaay....) he just doesn't wanna admit that he's not very savvy with technology! hehe!

eniweys, here is what we are freaking about right now: my husby sent the money order for our ds230 bill last july 29 and then he received a mail on august 19 which we assumed to be the instruction packet which supposedly signals that it's the time to send the forms already. so when he had a free day off from work on the 21st, he sent the entire ds230 packet including the barcoded letter he received from NVC.

and just today, my husby called USPS and learned that NVC has received our ds230 already. and then, when he checked his mailbox. he received another letter from NVC saying that they have reviewed our AOS already and are waiting for our missing ds230 documents. and attached in the letter is a barcoded sheet.

my question is, which of the two letters is the REAL instruction letter? did we commit a mistake here? sending our ds230 with the wrong barcoded sheet of paper? there goes our slowly but surely slogan!!! aaaaaaaaargh!!!

please, please, please help out my fellow vjers. oh my!!!!

i guess it's just a follow-up letter...in my case, i also received here in the philippines what my husband has received in the US, meaning they sent copies both the petitioner & the applicant. is it the first time that u received 2 packets?
