it's gonna be tough! but doens't hurt to try at least...she will have to show evidence that she will be returning to the PHilippines no matter what..like properties and bank accounts! goodluck!

Love is an unexpected thing...and when it arrives grab it with all ur heart....it may pass u jsut once.......

06.26.08 : medical exam 2nd day PASSED!!

07.09.08 : interview day! PASSED! PINK SLIP!

07.15.08 : visa on hand!!!

08.01.08 : POE SFO (home with my papi!)

there have been many of us who tried that and were turned down. im sorry to say that your wife will be denied a tourist visa so its best to go with the I130 route.

feb. 26,2008-----noa1

aug. 26, 2008----transferred to csc

sept. 19, 2008--- approved

NVC:

sept. 26, 2008----got case # from a live operator

oct. 6, 2008 ------received AOS bill/paid online

oct. 7, 2008 ------shows PAID

oct. 14,2008 -----IV fee generated/ paid online

oct. 15,2008 -----shows PAID

oct. 16,2008 -----mailed DS230 overnight

oct. 23,2008 ---- RFE

nov. 3,2008 ----- case complete

nov. 26,2008 --- medical exam

aug. 14,2009 --- remedical finally, passed

aug. 24, 2009 -- interview , passed

aug. 29, 2009 -- visa in hand

sept. 24, 2009 -- POE LAX

Go the I130 (K3) route and ask for an expedite. I got an expedite for a K1 based on National Interest/ Military Reasons and it cut 2-3 months of waiting out of the process. The worse thing they can do is say there isn't enough reason for an expedite (it won't have any negative effect on getting a K3).

We also tried for a tourist visa last year and got turned down... I wrote what I thought was a strong letter explaining why we deserved to get a tourist visa and they didn't even look at the letter!!!
