I am so happy you talked to him. You got your answers and they were good...and you know where you stand at least... I would check with the spanish consul while he is there to see if they can issue some kind of visa for him to go back and interview without losing his spanish status. Somehow I think the spanish consul would help him go home and give him a visa to go home without him losing his spanish access. There has got to be a solution for him to wait this out in spain after he passes the interview. My husband got a transit visa and everyone said it was impossible. I think your husband could get an extended schengen visa based on his job without losing his chance to interview
