Went for an InfoPass in Los Angeles on Friday, my appointment was for 8:15 and never got my number called until 11:30ish.

I went regarding my AOS with NOA date 10/1/2007 after waiting there that time when I finally get to speak to somebody they tell me that they have no information it is still in the National Benefits Center and not to expect anything until after the election as they have all been pulled to do Nationalisation cases.

Applied to renew my work permit and guess I just have to wait......sucks though when you see people who apply 6 months later get their interview :-( Im not hating on those people just wish ours would come too

AOS and EAD Timeline

First Application rejected due to them not receiving $70 for Biometrics, even though I had a receipt from them :-(

NOA1 - 10/01/2007

Biometrics - Middle of October, don't have exact date sorry

I-485 and I-765 Touched - 10/23/2007

EAD Approved - 10/27/2007

Nothing Since

Does USCIS have a specified time period for completing the AOS like they do for the K visas? At what point in time will a politician get involved in the process? It is very frustrating to watch other people get processed quickly while we continue to wait. Same thing happened during the K1 visa. Like you, I am happy for them but it would be nice to be to be done with USCIS for a while.

Call your US Senator's office and ask to speak with the immigration liason....

Thanks alot, I found out who the congressman was on there, will give his office a call and hopefully someone can help. Can't see what they can do though with it just stuck as pending. Never hurts to try though!

You will be supprised what they can do! A call from a congressman can really get things moving, it certainly did for us. Seems that the USCIS really doesnt move to quickly unless really pushed sometimes.
