hi there, my fiance got his citizenship through naturaliszation, so on Q10 he just maked the box for naturaization.

if you obtained the citizen throu your parents that is when you answer the " have you obtained certificate in your

name?" otherwise you dont mark it. also go to the example forms and see how the question is answered, my answer

might be wrong, but am sure someelse will answer the question.

for question 8, i think you just say none.

good luck.

The OP indicates he has/had an A number, so he either writes it in or, if not known, writes, "unknown".

pushbrk-my A# number is the number when I used to be a LPR, so I put my A# and my USC certificate number together? I think I don't need my A# anymore, right?

Got it! Thanks all for replies

This process is a lot easier if you resign yourself to simply answering the questions directly, honestly and accurately. If asked for your A number, write it down or say it's unknown. The same goes for everything else. You either have an answer, the answer is "none" or the question is "N/A" to you.

If you have an A number the question is applicable. If you don't, the answer is "none" the same goes for many things, like spouse or children.

A common mistake is when the beneficiary has children who will not accompany them. The petitioner fails to list them. The form doesn't ask if they are coming. It asks to list the names. Use the KISS method whenever possible.

Push Brk - I can see why this confusion came abt and it is legit. The alien registration number has no relevance once you are a citizen. It is used only when you are in a "green card" a.k.a legal permanent resident. K1 is filed by only citizens and hence the question is why should Alien # be used? It appears from reading this forum that regardless of whether A # is currenly used, if one has used an alien number in the past.
