HPV vaccine

Hi everyone,

I am preparing (ahead of time) for all vaccines for the K1 interview/medical, which will be in Naples... hopefully by January or something.

I will be 26 in June 09, so ideally I will have to do HPV vaccine. My question is: do I have to get that vaccine before I enter the US or is it mandatory only when I apply for AOS? Also, what about the other vaccines? Does anyone know the full list of vaccines required for K1 and the full list of vaccines required for AOS? or can address me ? Thank you so much. This stuff can be a pain.........

Mandatory for AOS.

The required vaccinations are:

Mumps

Measles

Rubella

Polio

Tetanus

Diphtheria toxoids

Pertussis

Influenza type B

Hepatitis B

Any other vaccinations recommended by the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP)

Current ACIP recommendations also include varicella, haemophilus influenza type B, and pneumococcal vaccines

Rotavirus

Hepatitis A

Meningococcal

Human papillomavirus

Zoster

Thank you. Do you know if I have to get them all before the K1 interview?????????? Or can I just take part of them when I adjust status ?

For K-1 u don't have to have your vaccination up to date to enter the country. U do need them for AOS, though. To find out exactly what vaccinations are needed for u based on ur age and vaccination history check out this:

Really helped me out Oh, and the "series" vaccinations like HPV and Hepatitis B, u don't have to wait to finish all three shots to file AOS.

Looks like all your questions were answered Cri, but I just wanted you to think about costs for a minute. In Canada, most of the beneficiary's get their vaccinations done in their home country because they usually cost nothing, instead of coming to the US, and getting them done before the AOS. So, most Canadians get their vaccinations done before they come to the US. Just our experience anyway. I don't know what the health coverege is like in Italy, but it's something you might want to check into. As well, check with your finance in the US, they might or might not cover you to have your vaccinations done here.
