We were married on August 15th and i contacted Social Security about the recent change

I made a call to my local social security office and explain that she is now married and here on K1 and they explained to me that we now to apply for K3 since we are now married..... that doesn't sound right

is the a link on SS to change her last name to mine

You cant change your name on your SSN card if your status in the US has changed. If your I-94 has expired or will expire in the next month, SSN will not honor the name change and you will have to wait til EADor AOS approval to show evidence that you have legal presence in the US.
