I think I have everything ready. Do I just put the cover letter on top and throw all this stuff in an envelope. There is really a ton of papers. Is there a way to better organize it? How did you guys do it?

Thanks

Hi HB34,

No, I would not recommend to just put a cover and throw in all the stuff in an envelope, as paperwork would easily get lost this way.

I organized my I-751 100+ pages of stuff in an ACCO folder (a file folder with a metal clip/clasp on top) which they recommend to do, and put the cover letter, application form, cheque/check, and evidence in it.

For more info as to my experience sending it and for what I sent in, check out the following message thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry2129713

Hope this helps. Good luck on your immigration journey.

Ok, here's what I did, I organized my papers by kind (like leases with leases, bank account info together, taxes together, etc) the packet was big, I went to kinkos, got the guy to put two holes on top and a fastener , then I bough some tabs and labeled the bottom part , like for example a tab for leases, a tab for tax info. Etc, the only papers I didn't put wholes into were the actual application, the copy of my green card and hubby's ID, etc, I put a paper clip on those papers along with the cover letter , pictures and check . So it was actually 2 separate bundles, the big amount of evidence and the papers they would need at hand. I put all of this into a envelope and sent it.

I just clip mine with a big paper clip (the whole application was 2lbs and 100 pages). On top of it is the cover letter followed by the application form with the checks. Then I put in a colored paper to separate the evidences. That was it...simple as it is...

Applied on a Waiver I-751:

  • Application sent ............................................08-20-2008
  • Application received by CSC............................. 08-21-2008
  • Checks cashed by CSC.....................................08-25-2008
  • NOA1 - 1 year extension..................................08-26-2008
  • Verification letter of inclusion (son) I-751.........08-27-2008
  • NOA2 - Biometrics appoinment.........................09-26-2008
  • Son received NOA1 and biometrics appointment..09-17-2008
  • Son's biometrics...............................................09-27-2008
  • Card production is ordered................................01-26-2009

Waiting is OVER! On to Citizenship Journey!

Hello there,

I always include a cover letter and list what is included in the package.

I also put post it markers/tabs on each document. Arranging the documents in order.

Then I make sure that I have copies of all the documents I am sending.

I use a slide folder.

Good luck!
