My wife plans to visit her family back in PI while I go on a tdy to the desert. What im wondering is will there be any problem with her passport having her old name and her new name being differant. Would she just have to take the marriage certificate along with her pp to show how the names match or does she need a new pp? Also she will be taking our daughter who has a US pp and citizenship, will our daughter need any special paperwork or is she good to go? Thanks in advance

Her old passport along with a copy of her marriage certificate should be fine. How long is she planning to stay in the Philippines? Are you making arrangements for someone to check the mail in case she receives her green card or an interview while she is away?

We had the mail set up to go to my mothers house so we would know when it came in. She only plans to go there for about 2 months while im gone and 2 months with my family. She doesnt have to have a current ssn does she? Since we got married the ssn office wont issue her a new ssn with her new name till we have her EAD or GC.
