Said is scheduled to arrive at Portland airport at 11:20pm tonight and these last few hours are driving me crazy!He stops at JFK and he doesnt have his cell phone and my phone is not hooked up yet cuz I just moved into a new apartment. I tried to call him while he still had his phone at the airport in Morocco but I ran out of minutes on my pre paid cell. So now Im just going nuts until its time to go to the airport. Im trying to keep my self busy today. I couldnt sleep good last night at all. :blush:

Is there any way you can take an understanding friend with you to the airport to keep you company while you wait?

I was freaking out a little bit the day my SO arrived as well, so I had a friend with me with the understanding that she would kinda fade out of the picture when he arrived. She was cool with it and gave us space when he came out of the terminal and just waited long enough to make sure we were okay and took her own car home (she came to meet me at the airport after a stressed out phone call when his plane was delayed :blush: ). It really helped alot and she was such a saint about it.

Not watching the time is easier said then done, lol. I am baking him a cake and trying to put some finishing touches on our new apartment but you can only clean so many times.lol.

My sister in law is driving me down to the airport, my car needs an alternator. So she will be with me the whole time. Its a really late arrival so she will just drive us home and drop us off. My daughter is going to be with Grandma and Grandpa for a couple of days so we will have the house to our selves! :dance: Im just stressing about his entry at JFK cuz Im clear in Washington State if there is a problem there. Anyway I just cant wait till this waiting is over.

when my sis landed in in ny from egypt we called information and got the phone number they paged her after asking us who we were and what her next flight was and what gate and so on........it was great to hear her voice while she waited for her connection to portland.........its a thought if u wanna try it ........ :thumbs:

Oh thank you very much I will try that. I will try and decipher his ticket (its in french)lol, so I can see what time he should arrive in ny. I think that will put me at ease some.

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(
