Having my fiance on the interview

I'm planning to have my fiance on the interview. Is this an advantage or disadvantage on our part? Somebody told me that it is not good to have the fiance appear on the interview because you will be interrogated separately and checked if your answers coincides. All I knew before was that the couple will be asked together. Anyone can help me answer this question? I get nervous thinking about it.

I think it is definetly and advantage, ppl at the embassy will see that he is commited, that the engagement is not fake... I have heard tons of successful stories when both (beneficiary and petitioner) are together

In my case, I'd have my husband with me...

My fiance then( husband now ) was with me and for me it helped for confidence hahaha . We were on one room and it went well mas marami pa ang tanong sa kanya but basic questions lang talaga. God bless and don't worry.

All I remember reading is that it can't hurt to have both of you present. At worst your fiance' will be asked to wait while you are questioned. There are LOTS of USCs who go to the interview, and I am going to my fiance's interview in Kiev. Don't worry.

Don't know how it is in the Philippines but it sure took the edge off my own interview. The officer was more interested in what my husband does for a living than in me so they chatted about that for most of the time. lol

A friend who recently had her interview said that she saw a foreign guy(she assumed that was the petitioner) was just outside the room while the CO interviewed the beneficiary inside. I get confused on what will really happen during interview. Still, I want my hunny to be with me to support me.

When I went for my interview (tourist visa --wich i got denied-- ) the officers were really nice, trying to get us in the immigrant line, treating us really, really, really nice!!! Except for the denial the experience was pretty good (lol), they don't treat you the same if you are alone!

p.S: I was with my husband!

I guess the treatment will be a bit different when someone is with the foreign looking petitioner.

Me and my 4 yr old went to the interview with my husband now. It does a big advantages to the benefiaciary. It helps to in my end because my son whis so young being interviewed too and asked if he knows the guy, my son answer the immigration officer "that's my daddy and mention my husband name" =D , it shows sincerity on both parties that you give full support on this visajourney, and the officer open-eyes to the situation. Even my husband is being asked more than me.

They will allow the petitioner to be inside the interview premises, and they could asked him to be outside too if he wants to interview the beneficiary alone and they will asked him to go inside again for being interview together. More importantly to beneficiary like us, interviewer just wanna know if you know well your husband-to-be in terms of previous marriages or family background.
