i was just woundering if i can send my ds230 directly to NVC or i really need to send it to my hubby and he should be the one to send it to them??

well you are the agent so you have to send it! he has to mail you all the requested documents for the ds230 and then you send it!

That is correct!

Not really. It does not matter who sends it in to NVC, you can, your Husband can, you next door neighbour can. I don't think they actually check the post mark to see where it comes from!

As long as the beneficiary has signed the DS-230 Part 1 - ie: it has an original signature - and you have included all the documents as requested - you are good to go.

Well if you call the NVC that is what they are gonna say!....

I wanted to send the ds230 from here (Nicaragua), I called NVC and they told me that my agent has to do it...

I don't doubt that is what they told you - but we have to temper that with some common sense I think.

The DS-230 has to be filled out by the beneficiary.

- Why would the NVC care if the beneficiary mailed/couriered it in?

- Do you think they check the post mark or return address to ensure it has come from the agent?

That would be no and no. NVC operators do not have all the answers - I think we all know that.

If you look at the DS-3032 - all it states is that you have agreed that the person named will receive mail regarding your petition. It says absolutely nothing about having the agent mail in all forms.

I maybe a head of myself, but I want to prepare myself and be ready so I can be in and out of NVC. While reading the beautiful guide Loto created, I noted that original documents are request with DS-230. Please confirm is that is so, so that I can have my Hubby send me the original documents.

Additionally, can I go ahead and send my Hubby form DS-3032 or should I wait until it is generated and send my NVC?

I’m sure you understand what I’m going through and wish to accomplish.

u can email ds3032 once it was generated like i did..but my mistake it was generated long time ago and i just emailed it just this time...tsk tsk tsk

During certain parts of our process, I was with my husband in Mexico and mailed documents from there. I seriously don't think it matters. As long as all the forms are properly filled out, all the correct documents are included, and you send it to the correct address, there should be no problem.

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

You must send certified copies - the kind you order from the government authority that issues such documents in your country.

Yes, passport is just a photocopy - however remember you also need to send in a photocopy of each of the other documents - as well as the certified copy.
