NVC Consulate Location Choice?

Hi All,

I got a letter from NVC today that my wife's case was assigned to Chennai consulate. But she resides in Pune which comes under Mumbai consulate and this is what I indicated in I-129F. I was a native of AP and our mmarriage took place in AP which comes under Chennai consulate.

So my question is does NVC always forwards the packet to the consulate govering the marriage location, not where the spouse currently resides? Please let me know your opinion. Also I am wondering if I should call NVC and aks them to look into this. Any information will be helpful. Thanks.

I don't know if you got an answer to your question. But you are K3 and they will send your case to the consulate in which city you got married.
