For couples -- I *think* that if there's a wedding picture, then the member is the female. I think we *married women* like to taunt that.

We both use the same account, but Marlene doesn't like to post...

Actually I would have to vote "none of the above". My avatar is the seal of the Republic of Belarus. My wife is a Belarus citizen by default after the break-up of the USSR, but was actually born in Russia. My grandparents immigrated to the USA from what is now Belarus. I don't use the symbol as a political statement, but more as a symbol of my personal ties to the region. So my choice of an avatar is personal.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

I see that a lot of people are using the pic of both of them. I'm still figuring out who's who. I never thought of the possible confusion, until I (the female) got a PM:

"Dear sir,

Your wife must be adjusting very well, as I see in your signature that she's already got a job. My wife is also from Russia; could you give me advice on what job she should be looking for?"

That was pretty funny.

Both myself and my wife Nikki(aka Bella) use animated gifs of pictures we took on the last day of one of my visits. I think it has caused confusion in the past as my avatar perhaps features her more than hers does. I could change it soon and put our animation in my sig or something i guess.

None of the above. My name is mike, and my wife's (nick-)name is ize... so I scanned a box of "Mike and Ike's" and photoshopped it to be personalized.

Since my old computer is so slow to place a personal pic on the avatar Iwent on to look at the premade ones.

The fairy/indian woman fits my personality and since being a member I have noticed no one else using the

picture.

I was just going to say that if you have a pic that is a bit too big large to work as an avatar you can use the URL tag that photobucket provides and then just copy and paste it where it says this "Enter a URL to an online avatar image" you can do this for any pic you might have stored in photobucket

I like using funny avatars that I like to switch every once in awhile...

i switch back and forth. up until about a week or so ago, i had a pic of the two of us.... but now i picked one of shah rukh khan (and some girl... obviously she's not my focus.....) because .... because.

Can you keep shah rukh khan in focus a few minutes more? And go down a little..... Just for the pleasure of the eyes! Cool
