Hello everyone.

I have read and read different post, and I went to the CFO site for a answer. I thought I understood, then read more and now I confused again. :)

I will be in PI again next month to visit my fiance. While I am there, I thought it would be nice to try and get the CFO out of the way.

We have been waiting on NOA2 for about 4 months, and I am thinking we will get the approval in Sept. So, how long is the CFO good for, and if she has her passport, but no visa, can she get the stamp before the visa?

Also, she lives in Mindanao so it is not benificial the get the certificate then have to return just for the stamp. I did read where the stamp can be obtained at the airport, ternmianl 1 with a CFO certificate and passport.

Has anyone attended the CFO, received their certificate, then get the CFO stamp at Manila at terminal 1?

Any help will be appreciated.

Ronnie

Hi there.

I am also from Mindanao and I took the CFO Seminar in Cebu before my interview. Just let your fiancee bring all the documents required in their website. After the seminar she will be given a certificate .

The stamp will only be given after she passed the interview and visa has been issued so what I did was to obtain my CFO stamp in Manila the day before my departure to the US. Just show her passport with the visa and the certificate from the CFO where she finished her seminar. I have not heard of the CFO giving stamps in the airport so I am not sure this information.

Or, your other option will be attend the seminar after she gets her visa and have the stamp as well in just one day before her departure.

The CFO stamp is a pre-departure requisite for K1 visa holders so don't let her depart without it.

Goodluck

Okay, thanks for the reply. If she can't get her CFO stamp prior to getting the visa, maybe she will wait on the interview. Do you know the reason for waiting on the interview? I am confused about the process in Philippines. some of it seems a** backwards.

If you completed the CFO, and pay the fee, why wait for the visa to issue the stamp. The person can't leave without a visa anyway. While I'm venting... why is there only one place to get the medical?? The Philippines is the largest issuer of US visas, so you would think there would be a better system.. Also..:) Delivery of the visa should be a set time frame. I read where some get it in a few days, and others take weeks. Is it Delbros or the Embassy...Just a few questions I think of during my reading here.
