Hello MsZ,

thanks for your advice.

I have been to the gym many times while I was in the U.S. I really like sports so me and my hubby went to baseball game almost every week cause he has season tickets.

Our house is in Scottsdale, AZ so I am a big fan of ARIZONA D-BACKS.

I was not able to find shops that have stuff from the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic is a tiny country in Central Europe, maybe some VJ members have already been to Prague.

I really missed Czech food, especially goulash and dumplings.

While you probably can't find anything local Martina (esp. in Arizona) maybe there's an online place that provide what you miss. And, do you cook? Make sure you bring your recipes from home. And maybe you can find an orthodox church that has festivals... We always attended the Russian Days festival so we could get halupki and Ukrainian beers.

And that's one thing you *can* get in the US -- Czech beers!

Yeah, Nicole. You're doing an amazing job keeping things together. Well, both of you are. When you got married you didn't sign up for this and yet you're dealing with it. So many people would have run away. You have a lot of strength.

I believe all of us have amazing strength and determination. Sometimes I sign on to this board and I am amazed at the stron people on here. Really this place is an encouragement because no one else I know even knows how to relate to our situation. But here, there are tons of people who know exactly how to respond and know the fears I have.

It is funny how many people think that if a USC marries a foreigner that the new spouse can just come and live w/no problem. Clueless these folks are. If it were easy, why would there be so many illegals here? They'd just do it legally.

MsZ,

it is great that I can buy Czech beer in the U.S. Me and my hubby went to BevMo and always bought a lot of Czech beer. BevMo has 4 types of Czech beer - Pilsner Urquell, Staropramen, Krusovice and Zatec.

I recommend everyone here to try STAROPRAMEN. It is wayyyyy better than U.S. beer.

Yes, I can cook but I am not as good as my mom. My hubby keeps telling me that my mom makes better goulash than me.

LOL don't get me started on that... people can be VERY clueless... Sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or get angry when someone says something to the effect of "Your married now, so he's a citizen right?" or "why is it taking so long, you are married, doesn't that make him legal?"

ehhhh, you gotta cut 'em a brake. Talked to a State Representative daWifEy and I know...he was totally clueless about immigration.

The average person IS clueless about immigration...especially family based immigration. How many of us ever heard of NVC or USCIS before?

For sure, we didn't know it would be THIS involved. I mean, we knew there'd be a visa application...but we had no idea it would be such a long and painful process (even though ours has been shorter than most). Not only is it long and painful, but it's not fair. If we had sent our petition in Oct. 2007, after we got married...we'd probably still be waiting....but because they're so screwed up at USCIS, our July petition was approved earlier than it should have.

Our VJ community is unique in the world of love and marriage.

I mean, most people (non-VJ) would think it's strange that Ring Ring and I celebrating our 1st anniversary and she hasn't even moved here.

Most people outside of our community would think 1 year apart from your SPOUSE is a longtime. Those people haven't met Nimche.

You guys are great and I am so greatful to you with so much of understanding about our situation and how you care about your spouse.

Nimche and Mimche have known eachother for 8 years (we celebrated our 8th anniversary of friendship while back) and even Mimche is not here with me and we see eachother every once in a while but we learnt so much and we tried to grow just by talking and encouraging eachother all the time. She started the Yoga classes in Iran and now she is a Yoga Instructor and other branches of Yoga. She is a professional swiming teacher and a Life Gaurd(my life Gaurd) and she is a Gym person. We have a small Gym in our complex with swiming pool + 24fitness pass will be the first thing I would do for her. 24 Fitness is 5 min. walk from our house.

I have never been so ready to have her here and now it will happen. I will finish last year of my study and I have almost no units left so I can spend more times with her.

I have located all the places I will take her so I can show her around (all stuff she likes)

I have become more organize, she like organizations

I have become richer? I got that from Ling Ling (no copydogging please)

and .....

I can not wait for her.

+

I will send the original PCC today to make sure there is nothing else left and I am hoping to have that expedite request processed ASAP so I can have an early interview for her.

Peace

I mean, most people (non-VJ) would think it's strange that Ring Ring and I celebrating our 1st anniversary and she hasn't even moved here.

Same here. It was yesterday. :-)

Most people outside of our community would think 1 year apart from your SPOUSE is a longtime. Those people haven't met Nimche.

No doubt about that one! I like how they've taken this time to live their lives even though it is apart, and to improve themselves. Too many people put their lives on hold for this process and that just doesn't work. For one thing, it makes it so much harder than it needs to be. And for another, it is too easy to say, "I delayed my life and then gave up everything for THIS?" when something goes wrong. If you're adult about it and intelligent about it, the time apart can be productive. It certainly isn't easy to be apart. But it isn't the end of the world either. If you really love one another, and not just in an immature sense, but really love each other as individuals, this can not only work, but be incredibly fruitful and bonding.

Of course a huge down side of this being apart stuff is the lack of (ahem) intimacy. So once this lot is reunited the Western hemisphere is going to see a lot of shifting. I wonder if it will introduce a new wobble to the Earth!!!!
