nimche,

Why do you have a new case number? When does this get generated and how do you find out?

For payment of IV bill, you need the same NVC number and IIN number as AOS bill. Is this correct?

Thanks,

Well,

Initially NVC assigned our case to Ankara, Turkey because there is no American consulate in Iran. So our case was ANK2008******. We are having problem going to Turkey and it is a legitimate reason and we had to request for embassy change.

While NVC was processing this change, I was able to do all the rest of paper works and pay all the fee with ANK case number and finish the process (before it gets completed).

Now, as of yesterday they have change the consulate to our favor and it is NPL2008****** which is in Naples, Italy.

So my case number has been changed but everything is in place with just a new case number (they have replaced all my files with old case number with this new number). That is it.

NVC case number usually generates 1 weeks after your NOA2. before being able to pay your IV fee bill you will pay the AOS fee bill and you are right, you need your NVC case number and IIN to be able to pay online.

I have a fairly new problem here that I could have predicted it but it just happened.

I just called NVC, very last minutes I could have called them today. I asked about status of my case and she said let me see......mmmm, we have everything CHECKED off here but your PCC. I explained that I sent the copy and it was per your instruction and she said that is allright because we DO accept copies but you might got it from the wrong department. She checked with NVC data base to make sure where the PCC should come from and she said from Department of Justice from Turkey and I said that is what it is and I have sent two copies to make sure you have it. I read thru the whole thing and she said so I am not sure what is the problem.

She said they might just didn't see it or couldn't understand it. She said that she will have someone else to look at the file and asked me to call back 10-15 days from now. I asked if I can send them originals tomorrow she said that I could but this shouldn't be a problem in the first place. She said again that she will request someone to look at my case soon.

First of all, I gave her my new case number and it worked (probably you guys don't care much about this anyway)

Second that I will wait till tomorrow at 14:00 and will call NVC and ask them about the status. If they said they are still waiting, I will go ahead and send them the original (I got two original copies[lawyer got two of them forme])

Third that she didn't say anything about a possible RFE or something but she only said that on the check list only the PCC wasn't checked but I(nimche) have a feeling that it might be checked off tomorrow.

Any comments...

My approvals came in September, but have a problem. I am wondering if anyone approved in august had a similar problem.

My I 130 and I 129 F were approved on the same day, sept 3rd. The I 129 F process has gone forward, but the NVC has not received the I 130 application. Also people approved after me have received their case numbers. The NVC reps say that they will not look into it until 90 days, and that is how they answer every question. There is obviously a problem somewhere with the I 130 application, but they refuse to acknowledge it. I have also mailed them a copy of the approval notice for the I 130, but have not heard back from them yet.

Should I go ahead with the I 129 F application process?

Any advise would be very helpful.

Got my new case number from the sweetest operator yet, Emma :D so Nimche do we need to change the flag under our avatars??

This is really good news. I was really worreid to what happened to your case.

You can figure out what date they changed your case by looking at your case number (pay attention to Ling ILng instruction) For instance my case is: NPL2008***000 so if you get *** - 500= actual date from 365 days in a year for example 222 then you can goole and see what date is that.

I may change the flag:O I am wonder if I should. She rathers being an Italian than a Iranian. I am just kidding

I didn't have I-129F filed. But I have been waiting for Ling LIng to respond to your question since he did it as well.

But I have heard that when you have two files, they hold one in USCIS and forward only one file to NVC. Also I have heard you can USCIS to forward I-130 approval as well.

You should go ahead with I-129F and if you get done with I-130 fast you might be able to have I-129F interview scheduled but have your I-130 interview instead. Some people have done this and it will be really great cost wise and even ease of process here because you spouse will enter to the US with GC stamp in passport where with I-129F(K3) visa spouse will enter with non-immigrant visa and then you need to pay for all these fees.

Good Luck

Your file is under review sir,

Is that good or bad?

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Well, I like that actuallly they call you "SIR" and that is good but review is OK. Next time ask them if they have all docs needed to process your case. Like ask "Do I have everything requiered on your checklisted submitted?"

Updated!

I'm thinking of removing the people who haven't provided anything other than the NOA2 date. I hate seeing all those blank spots there.

Ilya, that response is neither good nor bad, but normal. It Means that they have everything but your information is either under review or waiting its turn for review. Next step is case complete! Or RFE. But hopefully case complete!!

Somthing I have noticed that NVC is really picky on PCC. even we tried to get the right dox all the time they give you hard time the most on the PCC. They have probably implimented that after 9/11 to make sure everyone gets a PCC right.

I hope they skip this on our file.
