BTW, my husband received an email response stating that NVC received his choice of agent email and would invoice his agent (me). Since he got this yesterday, is that what prompted the IV bill to go online yesterday?

yes, the same thing happened to me. We received the e-mail telling us the Agent (me) was assigned. Then the IV bill was available. You are movin' MsZ!!

Dear Platinum Member:

So are you going to pay your IV today? I remember you said on 19th. You don't mind if I ask question? If you do just tell me.

So base on what Ling Ling is saying, I won't get a case complete message before next thursday. Ling Ling, the way I see it, you are in the same boat with me here no matter you like me or hate me.

Do you want some starbucks while you are waiting in my boat?

I'll take a tall mocha, with 2 brown sugars.

On-hold with NVC now...VJ = Visa Junkie.

I'm just hoping someone had an espresso and finished reviewing my IV Package early.

Can't believe I got through...first a busy signal, and now on hold (the 3 minutes or more prompt).

Nimche, you said you don't have re-dial...can't you just press the send/talk button again and have it re-dial?

Arghhh should I speak to these visa pirates in their native language?

Will they know I'm wearing a patch over one eye today?

OK...I did say "Arghhh" when they answered. Received the standard answer, "2 to 4 weeks".

I kind of like your standard answer which you get all the time. Mine is 6-8 weeks. Do you have an extra pair of shoes so I can use them and go into your shoes.

Sometimes I think weeks are too short and as soon as we get somewhere with NVC or going to get somewhere, week ends and we have to spend another extra two days in front of our computers and day dreamin about our case.

I am totally a VJ

just got off the phone with NVC...aparently my RFE on my 1-864 was in regards to my answer, or I should say, lack of an answer to question 25 ( I checked the "optional" selection stating that I enclosed my last 3 years of transcripts), above that option selection is 3 rows of spaces where you enter year and income (3 years) that I left blank thinking it was only necessary to fill in if the other selection was chosen...>>>wrong<<<...what makes this even more stupid is that Ling advised me to fill those in so at the very least it would be a quick reference of my income for them, but I chose not to because I already had it printed out and actually thought those spaces didn't pertain to my selection...operator also told me everything is fine with my DS-230 and that they are waiting for the I-864 to be accepted, which she is "in processing" again after receiving my corrected forms yesterday...was thinking about how i will keep myself occupied after our case is complete at NVC...wont have any forms to fill out or any reason to call NVC anymore besides to find out interview date and after i find that out...then what...stare at the calendar and wonder whats taking so long with that...I know I said it before, but next week we will be seeing alot of "case complete" on the spreadsheet

So are you going to pay your IV today? I remember you said on 19th. You don't mind if I ask question? If you do just tell me.

Oh Mr. Gold Member! LOL

I wish to pay the IV bill, but being poor makes that hard. How sad is it that the bank you work for won't even give you a loan?! But seriously, I am holding off for a week or so, I want to consult with an immigration attorney about our situation. I am not sure if my husband will have a 10 ban or a lifetime ban with a waiver after 10 years. I want to know what the options are. Because if it is the lifetime ban, we plan on holding the paperwork at NVC where it is and then continuing in about 8 years. I will move to Mexico on the border and travel to the US to work. That way we can still be together...

I hope the lawyer is helpful but I wonder if you'd be better off with an infopass or something. Is this a situation where you don't know until he tries to cross again?

My mortgage went up last month and it was tough to pay the IV this month. Didn't help that my kid ran up a $400 text messaging bill. (But that's another story.)

Anyway, your plan sounds good. How easy is it to move to Mexico? I should imagine if it is part of your daily commute that could be a bother. At least you're a USC.

I know bunch of people here in San Diego who are communiting everyday. She needs to get a fast pass and that solve so many hours of waiting in line for border checking. But still, she needs to drive somewhere from 30min. to 2 hours to get to work just by thinking about rush hours I can go crazy. But at least she is happy for hubby.

Nicole, needs to layout every possible way and all situations she might have and possible reactions from USCIS and immigration. It really sucks that you are stuck with such situation but I am sure you can find a way to get out of it. Just make sure, if you decided to go with lawyer route, don't pay them up in front because that is the way they will milk money off you poket.

Good Luck

Hi there,

If NVC had my husband name in wrong place, middle name as first name, do I have to wait to talk to an operator to change it before paying IV fee?

I've already paid AOS fee and received an automated response email said that THE PRINCIPAL APPLICANT NAME NOT FOUND (husband is principal applicant.) Would NVC apply AOS fee into my case?

Thank you.
