As most of you know...the things we learn here rarely help ourselves, but at least we can help others.

CHD, how's it coming with your replacement PCC?

If I recall, you had a little buffer time in your schedule (waiting for 2nd anniversary to get IR-1).

Remember, an RFE comes at the end of everything being reviewed. So at least you know everything else is OK.

From what I've seen, once the RFE has been sent back, Case Complete comes within a day or two.

I'm still not fully convinced that the fingerprint method is necessary for Canadians considering the number of people who have gone through NVC with regular police certs. If CHD calls NVC and talks with someone, it is possible that this RFE will go away.

And Shpat, you shouldn't say such things! I certainly can't imagine going through this process for someone who never amazes you.

SURE, you can send via FedEx, I personally prefer USPS because it's part of the government.

I've had good luck with USPS until our last mailing which came in a day late, but it's been signed for at NVC, and I can get a refund on the Express Postage.

$16.50 isn't a lot of money, but it's the principle. Whatever you do, look over your package one more time, and make 2 copies of the entire package before you send it in.

That way, if they say something's missing, you'll have another package ready to go, and a copy to send to your spouse before the interview, just so they know everything that's in there, and are prepared to answer any questions about it at the interview.

did the cover letter, made copies and am sending original pay stubs and employement letter per the "short cuts" the reason for the Fedex is that is my second job and i get a good deal plus the store is right next to work where as I have no clue where the closest USPS is.
