Congrats Olya on being our first case complete!

As for me...I'm unfortunately in the 'bad news' category. I got finally got through at literally 12am only to learn I have an RFE as my police certificate is 'unacceptable'. The rep said they want the RCMP one, whereas mine is from the regional police department. I don't get it...before I requested the certificate I asked on the Canada forums and was told that most of them just got the local department one and none of them have had any problems. Guess they just don't like me. :(

Sorry to hear that , CHD :( , I was so hopefull to hear good news from you as well....because of simular timelines

Overall that process is so nerve wreaking , one never know that to expect, while loosing sleep expecting very likely RFE, other are totally shocked to learn about their RFE in things they were sure of...

Feel so bad for you now...but wish you get and send it painlessly and quickly!

K-1 visa

05 - 16 - 2007 - Sending off of my I-129F package

10 - 16 - 2007-Got NOA2 !!!!

12 - 11 - 2007 Interview date

K1 visa -APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!

January 15, 2008 -married

Submitted docs for AOS ...but ,very unfortunately, my husband had to return back to Ukraine due to emergency without travel document (AP)

Starting K3 process ......

Shoot, that's bad news because we got a Canada wide one from the local police. :-( This is disturbing.

So the question is, should I ask Mike to pick up another one which he won't be able to do today because he's booked solid w/meetings and such (and then he's coming down here for the rest of the week) or do we risk it?

Hi snail mail finally arrived with bar code for AOS. mailed this morning 9/16 . Now just need to wait on NVC. thank you CHD for keeping the spread sheet I get to see things getting done.

hey guys Im finishing up my I-864 package, do I have to prove my co-sponsor is my dad? like do I need a birth certificate where both of our names are mentioned? Or is that overkill?

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

One quick query, Ive looked at the guidance but Im not clear (sorry!)

Ive filled in & signed the DS-230 and send to hubby in US as he's acting as my agent. Obviously there is no barcode on the form. Can we just print out the barcode online and attach to front of package (under covering letter)? Or does the barcode actually need to be stuck to the DS230 form itself?

My husband is going to go for the RCMP cert and not leave it to chance.

I think you should call though CHD and talk to a supervisor and see if they'll accept the certificate.

DS-230 form itself doesn't need a barcode. You guys need to print that barcode cover sheet from payment of IV fee bill that you paid online and have that paper as front of your IV package.(there is a big o barcode on it!))

I listed all docs before. I guess I will find them again.

hey guys Im finishing up my I-864 package, do I have to prove my co-sponsor is my dad? like do I need a birth certificate where both of our names are mentioned? Or is that overkill?

I don't have a sponser, but I have heard that you need to show some sort of relationship. Translation of birth certificate of both will do it.

I have always thought if I was in such situation, I would just send them a copy of our passports but don't take this from me. Do it in the right way.

I noticed there is a blank square on the top-left hand corner of DS-230 so I was wondering if I had to get my scissors and glue out to stick on a barcode. Glad I dont lol.

Great news Nicole :D I think lots of us are on track to get through NVC process in around 4-6 weeks timeframe yay!
