8/30/2008 was the Saturday before the long weekend. That was the date I brought the AOS/IV packages to the post office, but they weren't actually sent out until the next business day (9/2/2008). NVC only just entered them in their system on 9/5/2008. I'd be shocked beyond belief if I had 'case complete' already. :) But I'll try and call right now.

Yep, the operator confirmed that both packages were entered into the system on Sept 5, and gave me the carbon copied '2-4 weeks for review' reply.

Update for spreadsheet: IV bill generated and paid...

A big Congrats to: LuLu on "CASE COMPLETE"...those are some sweet words we all are hoping to hear soon...To NIMCHE for his PCC victory...To Desilu for squeezing the IIN out of one of those "by the book" operators...NicoleX08 on finally getting the auto response and last, but not least Ling Ling on the success of "Visa Pirates", laughed my a$$ off with that post, although I understand it's getting mixed reviews, with one critic calling it "useless"...define "useless"...Congrats to anyone else that made progress that I missed...

In regards to the PCC confusion, I called and spoke with an operator who said the PCC could be a copy and translations weren't necessary for the documents which is what has been stated to some of us when inquiring about such...I already have everything translated so thats how they are getting it, speaking of which, DHL should be delivering the final PCC to me today and as soon as I see "PAID" on the NVC payment site I'll send off the final package, hoping that will be tomorrow...

GOOD LUCK TO ALL

Yep, the operator confirmed that both packages were entered into the system on Sept 5, and gave me the carbon copied '2-4 weeks for review' reply.

This is exactly what I've heard from them, the same dates Sept, 5 as entered everything in a system. I think that on Friday (would be a week since they have entered it) I will call them again and find out of possible finish of reviewing, or God forbid possible RFE. Usually they have that info in a week after it was entered. What do you think, CHD?

Update:

Mailed I-864, was received on 9/5/08. I managed to screw up the barcode sheet (I made up a cover letter and pasted the barcode there) but NVC system is already showing I-864 as entered into the system and in review. So hopefully they won't mind the missing barcode sheet.

Mailed DS-230 package on 9/10. I'm nervous.

Moscow has already set up an interview for Oct 29th, but that's the K-3 interview. I really hope NVC hurries up and approves everything before the interview, so we can change the interview to CR1.

You caught up with the whole process. No Congratulation to you and your success finishing this process.

LL and I could have set a new process time with NVC but damn PPC had both of us down. It sucks.

I am still strugeling with NVC for change of embassy and I had senator's envolvment and she will contact them as soon as I send the DS-230 package next week.

Have not recieved anything from NVC in mail yet, they are freaking slow. Appreciate James and Loto's work for giving us such a straight forward direction.

How did you setup up interview before case is complete? Can I call moscow embassy and do as well? And what documents, info would I need? thanks!!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

to what i have understood from, only K3 applicants are able to schedule interview with embassy directly. I assume that you are IR1/CR1.

Ilya, we originally filed for K3. Both I130 and I129F were approved on the same day and went through NVC at the same time. NVC assigned different case numbers to each petition. I actually got a notice about a week after our case was completed at USCIS that NVC has received I-129F, assigned a case number and forwarded the case to Moscow.

I went to check there about a week ago and Moscow website already has an interview date for I129F case number.

So...if you have an approved I-129F petition, check your mail for any notices from NVC about it being sent to Moscow.

Moscow is currently running about 2 months ahead on interviews, but the website only shows interviews for the next 2 months. So it's possible that while they have assigned an interview date already it's more than 2 months from todays date so it wouldn't show up.

If you don't have an I129F, then NVC will assign an interview date once your case is complete at NVC.
