makes you wonder why Ling Ling had to call 30+

He was calling the wrong number. Once he said that he was calling McDonalds instead of NVC for almost 29 times.

I called NVC again, I started to hate these people as well as USCIS. Answers are generic and doesn't make sense. I guess I need to find other ways to talk to more important people.

Senator's office is useless. I though they are looking for people's vote, but now I doubt that.

such a boring day. IV fee is still in process probably till tomorrow.

When you call the NVC automated system does it say that it has sent the Choice of Agent and the affidavit of support or does it just say your NVC case number? If it says that it has sent the Choice of agent and the affidavit of support then you can worry about why you cant pay it online, if it only gives your NVC case number you will have to wait a couple of days or so.

Expecting the AVR to be current is quite a leap of faith.

Sir Saint Nimche the Good,

Email was well fast for my DS-3032 (same day confirmation), but wicked slow on my IIN request.

JUST received a response on my IIN email request (from Aug. 28th).

As for your inquiry regarding the PCC via fax...that's great news...glad you didn't give up...now I just hope it's accurate.

It's kind of scaring me that we'd get two different answers....then again, I think my question was "Can I just bring the PCC to the interview?"

That's hella different from "can I fax it, and bring the original to the Embassy?".

That said...you should be able to send a copy of the wedding booklet to NVC, but have the original available for the Embassy.

LARS...don't let that good for nothing lazy Iranian lie to you...I did NOT call McDonald 29 times....it was the home shopping network.

Anybody interested in 29 Chia Pets? I'll give you a great price.

Honestly, I'm pretty relaxed about everything right now. Everything is done and in and even if we get an RFE for something its unlikely to affect our plans. I'm expecting a November interview, but even if I get an October interview I'm not going home until after our anniversary on November 24th (why make ourselves have to go through more USCIS stress to remove conditions when we're so damn close to our second anniversary anyway). Even if its December its no big deal to us. Doesn't matter to me if I spend Christmas with my family or my husband's...as long as I'm home by the end of the year I'm happy. :)

Wow CHD, that's a pretty cool place to be. VERY cool that you can go IR-1 in such a short time....VERY uncool that this government has kept you apart so long.

Wish Ring Ring and I would be together for our anniversary, Oct. 2nd...but at least we'll get to spend a couple of days in Paris (where we met 2 years ago)...on Sept. 29 - Oct. 1st.

I swear to myself, I called them 5 thousand time regarding this matter. Every single one of them is giving me a different #######. They have no sense of logic. Actually to make you even more happy I will call them in half an hour.

I have heard this couple of time: "write a letter explaining why you can not provide the PCC and want to have it shown in her interview and they will accept it" but they said you should have some sort of good reason. Can we talk to a supervisor to make sure this statment is right? I mean at least it is coming from NVC not USCIS.

That said...you should be able to send a copy of the wedding booklet to NVC, but have the original available for the Embassy.

Good Idea, you are smart. Keep drinking those smartfast stuff you buy from WalMart. J.K.

Ling Ling, don't you make me tell LARS where did you call for 29 times. ok?

Are you trying to keep up with expenses for Paris? hmm

Could you walk under Eifel tower for me?

I am tired.

LL, so how long are you going to wait for PCC? Damn it, I thought you will be the first. You have shattered my miserable dream.

Ling Ling, you know that we don't speak Arabic.

*** I have a problem. I have been trying to change the embassy from Turkey to Italy. After all these letter written back and fourth they are not going to change it in our favor.

My wife was attacked and injured in Turkey and we don't want her to go to Turkey anymore.

Iran, doesn't have any American consulate therefore DOS has given us 5 other choices. Turkey,Dubai,Austria,Germany and Italy. now we got family members in Italy and it would be much easier for us to have interview at that consulate. I have talked to the consulate itself in Italy and they have no problem with it but NVC doesn't want to change it. They have asked for some sort of proof that she can go over there. Like Italian Passport, Visa, Landing permit and all those garbages. I have been discussing this with NVC for last two week and we can't get into a resolution and I asked for a supervisor for the first time and they are not avialable so I may call tomorrow.

BUT, what do you guys suggest?

****LL, I asked this lady again and she gave me something different. She said they (NVC) is collecting dox for the embassy and they want all the docs before they can process the case. She said everything is requiered and no fax or copy is acceptable. This is in your favor so you can feel better by not watching me being done with this process. i guess I will stick here with LL and shpat so we can discuss some business with his dad.

Some answers please.

but Ring Ring thought I'd get arrested

They will deport you back to Iran :D
